Midterm guideline and notes on comparative essay structure

The notes on comparative essay structure can be found under Essay Structure and Paragraphs on the class blog.

Please remember that you SHOULD bring the following for the Midterm exam:
1-Copies of the course readings (Theroux, Marable, Zinn, and Espiritu). These can have underlining, and marginal notes written on them.
2.- The Little Penguin Handbook
3.- Pen(s) and not pencil
4.- Dictionary
5.- Translator
6.*- A typed or handwritten Works Cited page. I'll collect this at the beginning of the exam so please put your name on it.
7.* I'll distribute the completed Venn diagrams to those who handed them in on Friday, Oct. 22

On the Midterm exam you CANNOT refer to the following:
1.- Your class note/notebook
2.- An outline you've created at home
3.- An essay you wrote at home and brought with you to the exam
