In response to our International Mother Language Day Celebration on March 30th, the ELA Department is holding a student essay contest with cash prizes for the two best essays concerning a work of literature, a song or a film in a mother language or dialect.
Note that we have extended the deadline to Friday, May 27th.
Here are some guidelines.
The essay must be written in English.
The essay must be at least two pages in length (there is no maximum page limit, but longer essays will not necessarily be considered better).
The essay must concern a work of literature, a song or a film in a mother language or dialect. The topic is broad so that students will have the opportunity to write about the works that are most interesting to them.
